The USS Flagg
Released by Hasbro in 1985 for the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero toy line, the USS Flagg is one of the largest and most ambitious playsets ever produced. Measuring more than seven feet long, the massive aircraft carrier became an icon of 1980s toy culture and the ultimate centerpiece of any G.I. Joe collection. Its enormous size, original price, and countless small parts meant relatively few survived the decades intact, making a complete USS Flagg a prized—and increasingly difficult-to-find—centerpiece for vintage toy collectors today.
Why “Raise the Flagg”?
For collectors, displaying the massive USS Flagg can be almost as challenging as finding one. One of our primary goals is to help collectors “raise” the Flagg—literally. Through custom-designed display solutions, accessories, and enhancements, we help elevate the USS Flagg to a better viewing height and turn this legendary playset into a display worthy of its place in toy history.
The name "Raise the Flagg" is inspired by G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, Season 2, Episode 20, appropriately titled “Raise the Flagg!” In the episode, the Joes set out to literally raise the sunken USS Flagg from its watery grave and bring the iconic carrier back to the surface. That idea of resurrection and restoration captures another part of our mission. We want to help collectors bring vintage toys out of basements, attics, boxes, and forgotten collections—to restore them, preserve them, and give them new life so they can be enjoyed and displayed once again.
A Deeper Meaning
For us, "Raise the Flagg" also carries a deeper and more personal meaning. The idea of something being raised to new life points beyond restoring an old toy—it reflects the heart of the Christian gospel. Jesus Christ was raised from the dead, and through faith in Him, we too are raised to new life in Christ. So while we enjoy bringing vintage toys out of storage, restoring what has been damaged, and giving old favorites new life, the name also serves as a testimony to the One who makes all things new.
