Let's Build That Custom Base for your USS Flagg!
This is for one (1) 3D printed porthole and one (1) round plastic insert designed for your USS Flagg Custom Base. The design for these portholes is based upon the look of the door frame of "Bulkhead Wall D" of the USS Flagg. The "how to" book on building a custom base for the USS Flagg is available on Amazon.
What size boards do these fit?
These portholes are designed for 1" x 6" boards. I will include a single page excerpt from the book on tools needed and how to create the opening for the porthole. It fits into a 1 3/4" hole (44mm).
How many do I need?
The portholes come in two pieces (the frame and the clear plastic insert). You can decide if you want the porthole frame on just the exterior side of the ship or on both the exterior and the interior. If you do both (as I did with mine), you will need two of these for each hole. So, if you have five (5) holes for portholes and want to do interior and exterior, you'll need ten (10). If you're just concerned with the exterior, then you can get by with five (5).
Tell me about the pictures.
Pic 1: This is a picture of four portholes located just below the Superstructure on the custom base.
Pic 2: This is a picture of a single porthole located just below the Secondary Truss Support.
Pic 3: This is a picture of the two pieces included: one clear round plastic insert on the left and one 3D printed porthole frame on the right.
Pics 4 & 5: These are pictures of my USS Flagg Custom Base. The Flagg and base are not included, but are shown here to give you a visual of how I used the portholes.
