Printing Decals
Decal Paper
Decal Paper: Choose the right decal paper for your printer. You can print your own decals on 8.5" x 11" sticker sheets. Depending on the type of decal design, some are better printed on transparent sheets. If you have a Cricut (highly recommend), you will print your decals through their "Cricut Design Space" and the Cricut machine will cut them for you after you have printed.
Hand Cutting Decals
Hand Cut: For decals that you are hand cutting, there are three tools that I recommend: X-Acto Knife, Self-healing cutting mat, and an 18" cork-backed metal ruler. I also recommend placing a Self-Seal Laminating Sheet over the printed decals before you cut them by hand. Do not use the laminating sheets with a decal cutter machine.
Machine Cutting Decals
Machine Cut: If you are going to be printing more than just a few decals, this is the best option for creating decals. The cuts are more precise and consistent. I personally use the Cricut Explore Air 2, but there are other options as well.
